The purpose of this work is to present the simulation results over quasi-static Rayleigh fading channel of the association TCM-UGM/STBC in order to protect compressed images against transmission errors. For throughput of 2 bits/s/Hz, the proposed encoding scheme offers a PSNR amelioration of 2 dB compared to TCM/STBC encoding scheme, and this for an Eb/N0 of 11 dB.
