ملخص: سنحاول استعراض مفهوم التنمية البيئية المستدامة والوقوف على مختلف نظرياتها ومؤشراتها، وعلاقة الفكر الإسلامي بها، وهذا استنادا إلى ما جاء به القرآن الكريم والسنة النبوية الشريفة، بالإضافة إبراز دور الإسلام في تحقيق التنمية البيئية المستدامة ومحاولة التطرق إلى أبعاد التنمية المستدامة لدى ابن خلدون، وبهدف اختبار فرضية الدراسة اعتمدنا على المنهج الوصفي والتحليلي، وقد تم التوصل من خلال هذه الورقة البحثية استقرائنا لبعض نصوص الشريعة الإسلامية وفكر ابن خلدون وجدنا أن الإسلام كان هو السباق في الدعوة إلى التنمية المستدامة وحماية البيئة والإبقاء على التوازن البيئي، واعتبر أن البيئة ملك عام ولكل الأجيال. Abstract: We will try to review the concept of sustainable environmental development and to identify the various theories; indicators; and its relationship to Islamic thought. This is based on the statements of the Holy Quran and the Prophet's Sunnah, in addition to highlighting the role of Islam in achieving sustainable environmental development. Also trying to address the dimensions of sustainable development that are adopted Ibn Khaldun. To test the study hypothesis, we relied on the descriptive and analytical approach, then we reached through this paper research to the extrapolation of some Islamic law texts and of Ibn Khaldun thought. We concluded that Islam was proactive to foster sustainable development, protecting the environment, and persisting in an environmental balance. On the other hand, it considered the environment as a public property for all generations.
