The object of this paper is to identify the determinants of non-life insurance demand in the Middle East and North Africa region (MENA) using panel data for a sample of 13 countries over the period 2010-2018.We used two measures of non-life insurance demand: insurance density and insurance penetration. The research results indicate that income, urbanization, financial development and the level of education positively affect non-life insurance demand, whereas political risk tends to decrease consumption. Anticipated inflation has no effect on non-life insurance demand.
