Abstract: At the early period of COVID-19 outbreak in Egypt, participants asked about their information about this new disease and whether they made changes to their routines recently. The data collected from 350 participants using an online survey and statistically analyzed. Well- educated Egyptians, particularly women were relatively knowledgeable about the disease. They have an optimistic attitude towards disease and most of them had taken adequate preventive measures. The study demonstrates the importance of health education programs aimed at improving COVID-19 knowledge in encouraging optimistic attitudes and maintaining safe practices. Keywords: COVID-19, SARS-coV-2, Egypt, knowledge, practices.
