الملخص : شيطيل اسم يغيب عن الذاكرة التاريخية ، ولم يذكر إلا عرضاً في مرة واحدة بمصدر تاريخي ، كانت ربما كافية لفتح باب البحث عن عروبة المكان ، وسبر أغوار تاريخه وآثاره ، فالمدينة اليوم تحمل اسماً إسبانياً وبمعالم إسبانية وتكاد تنمحي آثار المسلمين فيها ، رغم محاولات بعض مؤخي إسبانيا توريخ أحداث المدينة ، و دراسة آثارها ، رغم شح المعومات وقلة الإخباريات . وهذا البحث استفتاح لدراسة مدينة تفخر الإسبان اليوم بأنها أعجوبة هندسية ، لأنها بنيت حرفياً تحت الصخور وفى ثنايا الكهوف ، إنها سيتينل دي لاس بوديجاس ، والتي نحاول في هذه الورقات أن نقول إنها في الواقع مدينة شيطيل التي بناها المسلمون ، وظلت معقلاً دفاعياً إسلامياً أواخر عهد بني الأحمر . Abstract: Shitil is a name absent from historical memory, and only once mentioned in a historical source that might have been sufficient to open the door to searching for the Arabness of the place and exploring the depths of its history and its effects, Some Spanish historians recount the events of the city and study its effects, although information is scarce. This research is the opening of a study of a city that Spaniards are proud of today as an engineering marvel, because it was built literally under the rocks and in the folds of caves, specifically Cetenil de las Bodegas.. In these papers, we try to say that it is in fact the city of Sheitil, which was built by the Muslims, and that it remained an Islamic defensive stronghold in the late years of Islam in Andalusia.
