الملخص
يتناول هذا المقال العوامل الكثيرة التي ساعدت في تطور الحركة العلمية في العصر السلجوقي، من وجود المذاهب الدينية المختلفة، التي اتخذت من العلم وسيلة لترويج تعاليمها، ومحاولة الإقناع بصحة هذه التعاليم ، وكان هذا الصراع وسيلة من وسائل ترويج العلم في هذا العصر، إلى جانب الاهتمام الكبير لسلاطين السلاجقة ووزرائهم بالعلم والعلماء وبناء المنشآت المساعدة على خدمة العلم كالمدارس، وكذلك الرحلات الكثيرة للعلماء و الطلاب إلى حواضر المدن في العراق وخراسان للدراسة والتدريس، كل هذا أدى إلى تطور الحركة العلمية في هذا العصر. This article discusses the factors that contributed to development of the scientific movement in the ti;e of Seljuk, the existence of different doctrines making science a means method to promote their teachings ، and to try to convince of the conformity of these teqchings, which generated a conflict between them, this conflict became a way of promoting science at that time, in addition to the great interest of the Seljuk sultans and their ministers for science like schools; as well as many travels of scholars and students in the urban cities of Iraq and of khorassan for purposes of students and teaching, all this led to the development of the movment at the time.
