Auteurs : Chentouf Amina . Daoud Souad .

Résumé

Abstract Celiac disease is a common autoimmune disease that affects the small intestine of genetically predisposed individuals. This disease can be expressed by a wide range of extra-digestive signs including cutaneous, endocrine, hepatic, skeletal, hematological, gynecological and dental abnormalities. The existence of neurological manifestations of celiac disease is known for a long time, dominated by ataxia and peripheral neuropathies. Other disorders of the central and peripheral nervous system have also been described in association with celiac disease; however, they remain mainly unrecognized, as are some psychiatric presentations. The purpose of this systematic review is to describe the neurological and psychiatric manifestations of celiac disease, based on the most recent data in the literature.
