Modeling Of Thermodynamic Properties Of Binary And Ternary Mixtures. Determination Of Phase Diagrams

Résumé

Refrigerant optimization requires precise knowledge of equilibrium properties for a wide range of temperature, pressure and composition. The objective of this work is the determination of the position of the azeotrope for binary mixtures, together with the study of the phase equilibrium diagrams of the mixtures; R600a + R1234ze, R600a + R13I1, R1234ze + R13I1 and the ternary mixture R600a + R1234ze + R13I1 through a thermodynamic model. The model composed of the Peng–Robinson equation of state, the Mathias–Copeman alpha function, the Wong–Sandler mixing rules and the NRTL. Comparison of the modeling results with experimental data clearly shows a very good agreement.
