الملخص : النقد الأسطوري اتجاه نقدي تبلورت ملامحه على يد الناقد الكندي نورثروب فراي الذي يعتبر من أبرز النقاد المنتمين إلى مدرسة النقد الجديد التي ظهرت في أمريكا، وقد أسس لهذا الاتجاه متوكئا على جملة من الحقول المعرفية المتداخلة، حيث كانت أبحاث يونغ في مضمار اللاوعي والأنماط العليا رافده الأساسي في بلورة المنطلقات، وشكلت الأنتروبولوجيا سندا قويا من خلال بحثها في علاقة الطقوس بالأساطير وما يستتبع ذلك من تأثيرات تلقي بظلالها على العمل الأدبي، ثم أتت الفلسفة الرمزية بفتوحاتها عن طبيعة العلاقة بين النشاط الإنساني والرموز، فساهمت في صياغة المفاهيم الأساسية لهذا الاتجاه. Anthropology has formed a strong bond through its research into the relationship between rituals and legends and the consequent effects of shadowing literary work.
