This article is a contribution to the understanding of the social division of labor in terms of social sex relationships through an analysis of social times. Domestic work is studied from the permanent organization of women and their relationship to the types of activities and their place in the sexual division of labor. The asymmetry in the sharing of domestic tasks is the result of a family socialization and a sexual division of labor that early molds the female and male identities that reinforce their social positions.
