Space in Ghania Hammadou’s texts goes with time. The analyzed work doesn’t respect its narration’s modalities since it contains exiled actors who move continually between de past and the present, between an old world and a new one. The search for the lost identity puts the feminine characters, in our work, in a continual roaming, and this is what shows that space is divided by barriers. It is remarkable in the titles which put the day of Aziz’s death between two different worlds, the French colonizer between two countries and Bab-Errih between two different places. These marks are sometimes allowed and sometimes prohibited for the characters that change their speech because of this unachieved roaming.
Spatiality; Identity; meaningful paratexte; “parole déplacée”.
