This article is based on qualitative data collected through mediation of « in situ » observation and semi –directive interwiews with health professionals and breast cancer patients. It focuses on two issues of medical information about breast cancer. the first shows the discrepancy between the normative posture of the oncologist doctor and the subjectivity of the patients totally neglicted by the doctors. The second deals with medical uncertainty as a lever to legimate the scarcity of information transmitted on cancer among patients. Medical uncertainty allows doctors to remain silent about cases of metastasis and poor prognisis.
