Résumé

Date palm cultivation is one of the most important agricultures activities in Algeria. The palm tree requires a special care, especially at the crown. These farmer operations require a hard and dangerous physical effort and also a significant time from the farmers for the reason that they carried out it manually. Different elevator models with various using could be an interesting alternative to serve the date palm tree. For this reason, this research was conducted to evaluate and classify a various kind of elevator to determine the most appropriate one for the Biskra region using the hierarchical multi-criteria analysis (HMA) of Saaty. The scores obtained by this analysis show that the elevator NCT Thomas 120, mountable on the tractor, is more reliable, followed by elevators Airo A18 JRTD and Haulotte HA16 PX which represent a concrete alternative to the palm tree climbing method.
