الملخص
Shaykh al-Tayyib al-Mahaji School is considered one of the most famous Islamic free schools in Oran. Its foundation dates back to the beginning of the 20th century around 1909 AD. Al-Sheikh Al-Tayyib Al-Mahaji School had an important participation in political activity during the days of the Algerian national movement, with the participation of many of its students in the political parties and in the Association of Muslim Scholars. His students also worked as teachers at religious schools of the Association of Muslim Jurists, in western Algeria. In his book on the Algerian revolution, Sheikh al-Tayeb al-Mahaji said: "The Algerian nation was waiting for the opportunities and conditions conducive to a general revolution that would include the country from one end to the other, At the end of his talk about this revolution, it is not a small invention. He said: It is a great thing that requires volumes to write about the roles and heroism of this revolution and the Algerian nation's lives and money in the cause of God and in order to get rid of colonialism. He joined a number of the school's students in the ranks of the National Liberation Army, including a martyr who lived and contributed to the building of an independent Algeria.
