: The study of the Morphology of Languages and that of Translation are two completely different disciplines. For the translator, morphology is of no interest, however it seems that the formation of words can be very useful to him. This study showed that derivation in Arabic represents a huge potential in the formation of new words that the linguist as well as the translator can use.
