Resume : Le phenornene de privatisation a pris une ampleur planetaire. Constituant une des premieres conditionnalites du PAS. la privatisation vise a restreindre le role de l'Etat dans la sphere econornique afin d'arneliorer la performance des entreprises par la modification de leur systeme de gouvernance. L'objet de cet article consiste a analyser, par le biais dune approche episternologique, la relation privatisation performance. Une dernarche methodologique de traitement de I' impact de la privatisation sur la performance econornique et financiere de l'entreprise est proposee. Mots cles : Privatisation, Performance, Entreprises publiques, PED, Algerie Introduction Abstract: Since the eighties, privatisation has become a major component of the global economic reforms. The main objectives of privatisation consists of reducing the government's financial burden and its role in the economy, developing capital markets by promoting popular capitalism, and especially enhancing the efficiency and the performance of state owned enterprises(SOEs ). This paper examines a conceptual framework for analysing the impact of privatisation on the financial and operating performance of privatised SOEs especially in developing countries. It shows that the relation between privatisation and performance is a matter of interrelated variables such as economic, cultural, political and institutional factors.
