This paper aims to examine the contribution of tourism and environmental variables in the composition of Principal Components using the factorial analysis (Principal Components analysis) through the theoretical analysis of the relationship of tourism with environment, and then to present the variables used in the study consisting of 20 variables (10 environmental variables and 10 tourism variables) for a sample of 163 countries and implicating the Principal Components in the empirical part. The results of the study found that tourism expenditure as a percentage of imports and the nitrous oxide emissions from agriculture and methane emissions from energy contributed the Principal Components, as well as the contribution of tourism revenues as a share of exports and nitrous oxide emissions in the energy sector and carbon dioxide emissions resulting from the consumption of gaseous fuel in the composition of other Principal Components.
