Francis Johnson from existential philosophy to the advocacy of the Algerian revolution A comparative study of the position of the French educated elite of the Algerian revolution. When studying the ideas and attitudes of the educated French elite towards the Algerian revolution, many French intellectuals supported the struggle of the Algerian people for independence and freedom. Among these are Albert Camus, Francis Johnson, France Fanon and Jean-Paul Sartre. But the disparities in their positions are, for example, Camus, who has strongly criticized the French administration and its history in Algeria and its lack of interest in the indigenous population
