La Transhumance En Kabylie : Entre Tradition Pastorale Et équilibre Socio-écologique

Résumé La transhumance est une pratique pastorale ancestrale, qui revêt une importance particulière dans le paysage culturel et écologique de la Kabylie. Chaque année, chez les Illoulen Oumalou, et jusque dans les 1980, l’arrivée du printemps marquait le début du cycle de la transhumance. Au cours de cette période, des troupeaux de bœufs de labour « aqḍar » étaient conduits du bas des villages jusqu’aux sommets de la montagne. Cette pratique entièrement dominée par l’esprit collectif, s’accompagnait de diverses actions et représentations rituelles. Ces rituels étaient étroitement liés aux changements saisonniers et synchronisées aux rythmes de la vie socio-économique des communautés villageoises de cette région. Cette étude examine les caractéristiques distinctives de la transhumance traditionnelle dans cette région, mettant en lumière son rôle crucial dans l’équilibre écosystémique et socio-culturel des communautés locales. Abstract Transhumance is an ancestral pastoral practice, which is of particular importance in the cultural and ecological landscape of Kabylia. Every year, among the Illoulen Oumalou, and until the 1980s, the arrival of spring marked the beginning of the cycle of transhumance. During this period, herds of plowing oxen « aqḍar » were driven from the bottom of the villages to the mountain peaks. This practice, entirely dominated by the collective spirit, was accompanied by various ritual actions and representations. These rituals were closely linked to seasonal changes and synchronized with the rhythms of the socio-economic life of the village communities of this region. This study examines the distinctive characteristics of traditional transhumance in this region, highlighting its crucial role in the ecosystem and socio-cultural balance of local communities.
