Food Security In Algeria: Towards A National Strategy For Food Independence And Sovereignty

Abstract

Abstract: This article presents a scientific reflection on food security. It highlights the need to rethink it in Algeria. The proposed reflection demonstrates the necessary evolution towards the concept of "independence and food sovereignty," which requires the construction of a national strategy based on a new doctrine, updated approaches, and methods to address current geopolitical and geo-economic realities. "independence and food sovereignty" in Algeria is a concern of the state, and that the issue is multisectoral and multidisciplinary.
