الملخص
تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى التقصي التاريخي عن ماهية الفروسية وسباقات الخيل في الحضارة الإسلامية والعالم الغربي آنذاك، وعن طريق استخدام المنهج الوصفي والتاريخي، واختيار عينة من أشهر مؤلفات الغربيين والعرب الذين كتبوا عن هذه الرياضة في زمن الحضارة الإسلامية، فقد خلُصت الدراسة إلى أن منظور العالم الغربي نمطي وسلبي اتجاه الفروسية في العالم العربي والإسلامي، وبأن الفروسية في زمن الحضارة الإسلامية كانت في أوجها وبشكل متطور جدا. Abstract; This study aims to historically investigate the nature of equestrian and horse racing in the Islamic civilization and the Western world at the time, and by using the descriptive and historical method, and selecting a sample of the most famous Western and Arab literature who wrote about this sport in the time of Islamic civilization, the study concluded that the perspective of the Western world Stereotypical and negative attitude towards horsemanship in the Arab and Islamic world, and that horsemanship in the time of Islamic civilization was at its height, in an organized and very developed manner.
