The increased salinity of agricultural land is pushing us to seek new resources to meet various humanitarian needs. This study evaluates the germination behavior of Peganum harmala L. from two geographical origins. The results show that the origin of the seeds influences the germination; 46.5% for the Djelfa region and 70% for the Laghouat region. Also, the germination rate is regressive with the amount of NaCl. It reaches a very low level (5%) beyond 5g / l and becomes zero from 8g / l. These results are important for the development of a salinity tolerance threshold for delineating land or irrigation water for dryland development.
