Intercultural Challenges Facing A Cross-cultural Workplace. Case Study: A Set Of Egyptian Companies

Abstract

The current research was undertaken in order to investigate and indicate the main intercultural challenges facing a multicultural workplace. We have dedicated our research study to investigate the various intercultural differences existing at a multicultural workplace including; communication, hierarchy, and trust, which can generate the birth of intercultural challenges. After conducting a questionnaire addressed to employees, interviewing the managers, and analyzing collected data, we have found that communication, hierarchy, and trust are indeed influential factors in a cross-cultural workplace, and nevertheless, the significance of their impact is not equal.
