ملخص: من الثابت تاريخياً أن فكرة الحد الدولي بمفهومها المعاصر لم تظهر طفرة واحدة، بل مرت بعدة مراحل زمنية حتى أتخذ الحد الدولي - كفاصل بين سيادات الدول المتجاورة - مفهومه وخصائصه المعروفة لنا حاليا. فقد تطور مفهوم الحدود السياسية الدولية والذي لم يكن في بداية نشأته يعني ما يحمله المفهوم المعاصر له، حتى أضحت أهميته توازي أهمية وجود الدولة ذاتها. هذا ما جعلنا نهتم في هذه الورقة البحثية بتتبع مراحل تطور مفهوم الحدود السياسية الدولية. Abstract: It is historically clear that the idea of international reduction in its contemporary concept did not show a single breakthrough, but went through several stages of time to take the international limit - as a separation between the sovereignty of neighboring countries - the concept and characteristics known to us now. The concept of international political borders, which was not at the beginning of its development, has evolved into what the contemporary concept holds, so that its importance becomes as important as the existence of the State itself. This is why we are interested in this paper to follow the stages of development of the concept of international political borders.
