الملخص
لعبت الرحلة دورا هاما وكبيرا في تطوير معارف وخبرات الحضارات الإنسانية ومن بينها الحضارة العربية الإسلامية. وكانت لرحلات بني الإنسان وارتحالهم في الأرض (طوعا أو كرها) أثار مباشرة في صياغة تاريخ البشرية وتطور علوم الإنسان فمن الرحلات الرعوية الجماعية، عرفت الإنسانية الأرض الخصبة الجديرة بالاستقرار، وبخبرات القرويين في الأرض تطورت الزراعة والصناعات الأولى والمعارف البدائية والاشراقات الأولى للعلوم. ومع تطور الإنسانية صارت الرحلة فردية، وصارت أهدافها متنوعة، فمن البحث عن الرزق وتحسين الأحوال، إلى متعة التجوال والتطلع إلى الآفاق البعيدة، وهذا ما جعل الرحالة العرب المسلمين خاصة يكون لهم اسهامًا كبيرًا في كتب الرحلات، وان نصوص هذه الرحلات لم تنحصر في المجالات الأدبية فقط، بل تجاوزنها الى حقول معرفية أخرى كالجغرافيا والتاريخ وغيرها. Traveling played an important and significant role in developing the knowledge and experiences of human civilizations, including the Arab-Islamic civilization. The journeys of humankind and their travels in the land (willingly or involuntarily) had direct effects in the formulation of human history and the development of human sciences. From the collective pastoral travels, humanity knew the land and its worthiness of stability. And with the experiences of the villagers on the land. Agriculture, the first industries, primitive knowledge and the first rays of science has developed With the development of humanity, the journey became individual, and its goals became diverse, from the search for livelihood an improvement of conditions, to the pleasure of wandering and looking to distant horizons and this is what made the Arab Muslim travelers in particular to have a great contribution in the travel books. Not only, but they transcended it to other fields of knowledge such as geography, history, and others
