Chronic kidney disease (CKD) was qualified as a major public health problem in Algeria, and the study of risk factors for this disease is of great importance. Based on a sample of 247 patients followed over the period (1987-2017), in the province of BATNA, we estimated the survival functions and risk factors of renal failure patients by using parametric regression models (Exponential and Weibull). the main modeling results show: i) That there is a slight difference between the men and women in terms of survival ii) For a short follow-up period, there was no difference in survival between smokers and non-smokers, but in the long term, such a difference was revealed. iii) 75% of the deaths had as an initial disease: diabetic nephropathy or Hypertensive, and when adjusting these initial diseases in the models, female dialysis patients have a higher risk of death (thus low survival time) compared to male dialysis. These results should be considered in the development of the National health strategy for kidney disease.
