This work focuses on Uromastyx acanthinura: an herbivorous species of the Agamidae family that lives specifically in North Africa, particularly in Algeria. In this review, we locate the classification and describe some of the characteristics of this species such as morphology, behaviour, habitat, reproduction, diseases, and threats. This work constitutes the first part of a study carried out on this animal.
