يشكل موضوع تحليل الرموز الدينية في بلاد المغرب القديم من أهم المواضيع الجديدة التي لم تأخذ حيزا واسعا من قبل الباحثين وفي الميدان علم الاثار من أجل الكشف عن طبيعة الحياة الدينية التي كان يعيشها الانسان المغاربي القديم من فترة ما قبل التاريخ الى نهاية الفترة النوميدية، حيث يتضمن موضوع البحث نماذج متعددة من رموز حيوانية، ونباتية، وأخرى ادمية، وكونية، كل رمز يعبر عن محتوى طريقة التدين، والتعبد، ومعرفة انسان بلاد المغرب القديم الحياة الاخروية وعلاقاتها بالمعبودات، وتجسيد المتغيرات التي طرأت على الفكر الميتولوجي القديم في المنطقة، تلك هي المحاور التي نحاول استقصائها وطرحها علميا. On the ancient mythological thought of the region, these are the axes that we are trying to investigate and put out scientifically.
