الملخص. تسلط هذه الدراسة الضوء على موضوع "تحرير المرأة"وهو أحد المواضيع التي شغلت الرأي العام العربي والمصري بشكل خاص، كونها شكلت البيئة التي نمت فيها هذه القضية لتتخذ طرقا وأبعادا عربية خاصة نحو بلاد الشام في الفترة نظرا لاحتكاك النخب المثقفة فيما بينها وهجرتها إلى مصر باعتبارها حاضرة المشرق العربي، وقد تشتت وتعارضت واختلفت هذه الآراء بين مؤيد للمرأة في تحررها من جميع الجوانب الاجتماعية المتعلقة بها والحصول على حقوقها التي حرمت منها خلال عقود من الزمن، من تعليم وعمل،وبين معارض لها كونها تتضارب مع الأعراف والتقاليد الاجتماعية التي سيطرت على العقل العربي طوال الفترة العثمانية، فالانطلاقة الأولى لهذه الدعوة كانت رجالية، لتنتقل بعد ذلك للمرأة مع مطلع القرن العشرين مستعملة شتى الوسائل من صحافة وتأليف الكتب والمشاركة في الندوات والمحاضرات لتخرج من إطارها الجغرافي المحدود عربيا نحو العالمية. Abstrect. This study sheds light on the topic of "the liberation of women", which is one of the topics that preoccupied Arab and Egyptian public opinion in particular, as it formed the environment in which this issue grew to take special Arab roads and dimensions towards the Levant during the period due to the friction of educated elites with one another and their migration to Egypt as The metropolis of the Arab Mashreq has been dispersed and contradicted, and these opinions differed between supporters of women in their emancipation from all social aspects related to them and obtaining their rights that were deprived of them for decades, from education and work, and opposing them because they contradict social norms and traditions that dominated the Arab mind Throughout the Ottoman period, the first start of this call was men, then it moved to women at the beginning of the twentieth century, using various means, such as journalism, writing books, participating in seminars and lectures, to emerge from its limited geographical framework in the Arab world towards the world.
