بوليبيوس Polybius مؤرخ الحروب البونية

الملخص
يلاحظ المتتبع لتاريخ المغرب القديم بأنه مازال يحتاج مزيدا من المجهودات والبحوث الجادة وذلك بسبب ندرة الكتابات المحلية النوعية، لذا يلجأ الباحث في دراسة تاريخ المنطقة للمصادر التاريخية الإغريقية أو اللاتينية في دراستنا هذه سنتطرق لأحد تلك المصادر ذات الأهمية البالغة في التأريخ للصراع القرطاجي الروماني بخاصة، فما جاء به بوليبيوس في مؤلفه التاريخ العام ورغم أنّ المعلومات فيه مقتضبة وغير كافية لكنها تعكس أهمية بالغة لا يمكن الاستغناء عنها في التأريخ لهذه الفترة، فكان من أبرز المصادر التي تحدثت عن قرطاجة وحروبها البونية، حتى أنه لقب بمؤرخ الحروب البونية، تهدف دراستنا هذه إلى محاولة معرفة أهمية ما جاء به هذا المؤرخ في التأريخ للمنطقة في عديد الجوانب وبخاصة الجانب العسكري من خلال حديثه عن تلك الحروب التي جرت مع الرومان، التي اختلفت وتعددت نظرة المؤرخين حولها فبحثوا لها عن مبررات وأسباب لإدانة هذا الطرف أو ذاك، وبخاصة الطرف القرطاجي الذي سميت الحروب باسمه. Abstract: The present study investigates one of the most important sources in the history of the ancient Maghreb, especially during the Roman Carthaginian conflict. Due to the scarcity of specific local writings in the history of ancient Maghreb, the researcher based the study of that region on Greek and Latin historical sources. Though the brief and insufficient information in his book entitled “The General History”, Polybius -named the historian of the Punic Wars- reflects an extremely important and indispensable chronicle of this period. This study aims to know the significance of historian notes of that region from different aspects, namely the military one through his talk about those wars that transpired with the Romans. This created diverse perspectives from historical researchers who looked for different reasons and justifications to condemn one of the two parties, especially the Carthaginian one for which the wars are named.
