Relationship Between Domestic Credit Provided By Financial Sector And Economic Growth In Algeria Since 1970-2018

Abstract

The objective of this paper is exam the impact of Domestic credit provided by financial sector (% of GDP) and Domestic credit to private sector by banks (% of GDP) on economic growth in Algeria. The results of estimated model are significantly accepted and that the impact of Domestic credit provided by financial sector has a negative impact on economic growth, a result that does not correspond to the theoretical and empirical studies conducted. in this area, as regards appropriations intended to finance the private sector. They have a positive and statistically significant impact on economic growth, as a result of Algeria's transition to a market economy and the facilities given to the private sector for production and investment in different sectors.
