The forms taken by political Islam in Maghreb and Machrek, though they seem similar at first, are actually quite diverse. Beyond a few common principles, their idéological positions are far from uniform. a complex and evolving movement, political Islam covers a wide spectrum of political sensibilities. As Islamic formations operate primarily within national frameworks, the political context in which they evolve has a strong influence on their strategies, rhetoïc and Political programs.
