Considering the passage of Algeria to the market economy, the Algerian firms work in a competitive environment even fierce. Indeed, multinationals, operating in the Algerian market, have a considerable knowhow. In this context, it is imperative for Algerian companies to invest more in the knowledge management. Benchmarking is one of the most answered practice in many countries but in Algeria, it is still little bit practiced. The purpose of this academic research is to know the context of the benchmarking practice in Algeria. To address this issue, we conducted a survey of Algerian companies (SOUMMAM and RAMDY) compared to the world's leader its Algerian subsidiary DANONE DJURDJURA ALGERIA. The result of this investigation leads us to conclude that the prospects for development of this practice are important.
