In the biginning of the french colonisation, christian mission found a place in Algéria to frame the christian settlers, then the interest for indigenous people is felt. The catholic and protestant mission could continue during all the colonial period despite complex social and political context. Theyre faced the hostility, the povrety and the ignorance of population and molestation of the french administration, finally the distrust of islam who rejected everyFthing that emanated to the west. But, despite this discouragement situation, the missionaries armed to the faith and patience they minnow they evangelization project whilst respectful of the cultural beliefs and dedicating themselfs to educate de children, by healing the silk and by the desperate efforts to absorb the orphan children and give buy their conduct and their speaking high opinion of France. These missionaries, oftentimes enduring, many difficult succeeded in contacting the Kabyle population and making some converts. During their mission, the white fathers and the white sisters registered their memories and every detail for their mission. Now, thes notes are filed then wille be accessible to researchers.
