This paper presents an implementation of a perturb and observe maximum power point tracking algorithm using Duty Cycle Modulation for photovoltaic power generators. A detailed analysis of the approach is proposed and simulations are performed using MATLAB/Simulink software. The results showed that the response times is between 0.0125s and 0.05s depending on the climatic variations. Duty Cycle Modulation can therefore be used as an alternative to Pulse Width Modulation in searching the maximum power point.
