This article deals with an analytical study of Rome’s strategy to expand in the eastern Mediterranean through its waging of several wars with the Macedonian and Seleucid states, which were an obstacle to extending its influence in Asia and Europe, by exploiting the weakness and struggle of the Hellenistic kingdoms, in addition to the separatist tendency of the Greek cities over these powers.
