الملخص
This article provides a sociological analysis of the phenomenon of slums in the cities of the Third World. The study focuses on the nature of historical and sociological accumulations that led to the fragility of the relationship between the slum dwellers and the authorities, and the various forms of organized and unorganized urban violence, such as participation in protests, unrest, sabotage, and this of course in the context of social conflicts, inequality issues related to exploitation and marginalization. It actually seems that there is a gap between the reality of marginalized groups living in slums and theoretical conceptions, which are not always able to characterize and define their precise identity. It is time to move beyond stereotypes to the actual perception of the social dimension in light of the lack of social organization, the isolation of the slum population from urban life, the fear of unemployment, educational opportunities, health care and antisocial behavior
