Algeria has a rich cultural heritage by its civilizational and exceptional variety, a touristic heritage with a great originality national and international. It is essential to ensure the transmission of this heritage 'object or idea' and its recognition. Today, we are witnessing a desire to put built heritage on the map of tourism. It is a new form of tourism that aims to promote and discover a cultural heritage of a region. Through this study, we will highlight the role of tourism in the preservation and enhancement of heritage, and we will try to answer the following questions: what is the relationship between built heritage and tourism? And to what extent does tourism contribute to the development and transmission of built heritage? As a case of study Dar El Kaid in Mostaganem.
Built heritage, cultural tourism, valorisation, transmission, economy.
