Résumé: With the widespread use of social media within modern Algerian families and the increasing adoption of individuals of all age groups, it has become necessary to shed light on the impact of social media on parents and their educational role. The use of social media by fathers and mothers creates a relationship between these networks and the family as a social coordinator that performs specific functions within society, with one of the most important being the function of moral education. Thus, this relationship contributes to changing the structure of the family and reshaping its functions. This study aimed to explore the impact of mothers' use of social media on their moral educational role within the family, employing a survey method and a questionnaire tool for data collection. The study yielded several results, including the pivotal role of age in determining the patterns and motivations of mothers for browsing social media. It also revealed various effects of this browsing on the moral education of children, ranging from positive to negative.
