Constraints Of Successful Assessment Within The Lmd System In Algerian University: Case Of The English Department At Tlemcen University

Abstract
Assessment is a major subject in teaching and learning process in higher education, it holds importance in the wave of change and innovation that took place in Algerian university, within the implementation of the LMD system. EFL teachers find themselves teaching by a different method and assessing their EFL students differently than they used to. This article is an attempt to shed light on obstacles and constraints EFL learners and teachers are witnessing in the process of assessment in the LMD system, it is a case study held in the English department at Tlemcen university, through the use of two research tools, a questionnaire to EFL teachers and an interview with EFL learners both randomly selected. The aim behind such research is to elevate the veil on these obstacles and give suggestions and recommendations to EFL teachers and learners to better cope with assessment. ملخص: التقييم موضوع رئيسي في عملية التعليم والتعلم في الجامعة ، و يحمل أهمية في موجة التغيير والابتكار التي تعيشها الجامعة الجزائرية ، مع تبني نظام ل م د وجد معلمو اللغة الانجليزية أنفسهم يدرسون بطريقة مختلفة و يقيمون الطلاب بأسلوب مختلف عما اعتادوا عليه . هدا المقال هو محاولة لتسليط الضوء على العقبات و العراقيل التي يواجهها معلمي وطلبة الانجليزية في عملية التقييم في نظام ل م د . المقال هو دراسة لحالة في قسم اللغة الإنجليزية في جامعة تلمسان، من خلال استخدام اثنين من أدوات البحث، استبيان لمعلمي اللغة الإنجليزية كلغة أجنبية ومقابلة مع طلبة اللغة الإنجليزية على حد سواء تم اختيارهما عشوائيا. الهدف من وراء هذا البحث هو رفع الحجاب عن هذه العقبات وتقديم الاقتراحات والتوصيات لمعلمي اللغة الإنجليزية و الطلبة من اجل تعامل افضل مع عملية التقييم . Résumé : L'évaluation est un sujet majeur dans le processus d'enseignement et d'apprentissage dans l'enseignement supérieur, elle a une importance dans la vague de changement et d'innovation qui a eu lieu en université Algérienne, dans la mise en œuvre du système LMD. Les enseignants d’Anglais se trouvent enseigner par une méthode différente et évaluer leur étudiants différemment qu'ils ont utilisé à faire. Cet article tente de faire la lumière sur les obstacles et les contraintes que les apprenants et les enseignants d’Anglais observent dans le processus d'évaluation dans le système LMD. C’est une étude de cas dans le département d’Anglais de l'université de Tlemcen, en utilisant deux outils de recherche, Questionnaire aux enseignants EFL et une interview avec les apprenants EFL choisis au hasard. Le but de cette recherche est d'élever le voile sur ces obstacles et de donner des suggestions et des recommandations aux enseignants et apprenants à mieux faire face à l'évaluation.
